State Not Situation
The book
What feels true may be your state, not the situation.
Most of what we call a situation is read through a state. Your state of tiredness, a feeling of insecurity or loneliness. The book is about the moment before those feelings harden into a fact, and what changes if you catch it there. Often, nothing about the situation changes between 11pm and 9am. Your own reading of the situation does.
State Not Situation is about that gap: how exhaustion, hunger and the absence of safety shape what feels true before you get a chance to weigh it, and what becomes available once you can tell a state from a fact.
The method is the one I use in sessions.
About

I'm Ivana Budišin, a clinical psychologist and author living and working in Luxembourg.
I work from a biopsychosocial frame, which. Your mind, your body and the environment you are living in are considered together, because in practice they rarely fail one at a time. Sessions draw on CBT, emotion-focused methods, mindfulness, and nutritional psychology where it is relevant.
I work in English and French.
