A Clinical Partner for the Patients Who Fall Between the Lines

For GPs, specialists, and healthcare teams in Luxembourg.

Ivana Budisin Clinical Psychologist

Your medical treatment remains central. My role is to reinforce it and translate it into daily life. Some of your patients don't meet the threshold for a psychiatric referral. Sleep is broken, concentration is scattered, a grief or menopause transition is dragging on, or digital overload is quietly eroding their function. They leave your office with advice they already know and nowhere concrete to go. LuxembourgPsychology offers psychological counselling for exactly this group: clinically grounded and built around the biopsychosocial factors your patients are living with every day.

To refer a patient or explore a working arrangement, contact Ivana directly: ivana@luxembourgpsychology.com

Referrals are welcome across the following areas.

Sleep and circadian rhythm disruption: Shift workers, frequent travellers, peri-menopausal women, and patients with chronic illness whose sleep dysfunction sits outside a sleep medicine remit but is actively worsening their presentation.

Stress, burnout, and cognitive fatigue: Patients carrying high occupational or caregiving load, or showing early signs of burnout that don't yet warrant psychiatric intervention.

Digital overload and attention difficulties: Adults and adolescents whose screen habits are disrupting sleep, focus, and daily function, without a formal ADHD diagnosis in the picture.

Grief and life transition: Bereavement, loss, divorce, retirement, relocation. Patients who need structured support to adapt rather than medication to manage.

Menopause and hormonal life stages: Women navigating perimenopause or menopause where mood, cognition, sleep, and energy are all affected. I draw on the hormone-brain-gut axis and nutritional psychology alongside counselling, with no supplement prescribing or diagnostic claims.

How Collaboration Works

With the patient's written consent, I can:

1. Receive your referral notes and relevant clinical background before the first session.

2. Provide a brief summary after the initial assessment

3. Share progress updates at agreed intervals

4. Flag any clinical escalation, including cases where referral to a psychiatrist or authorised psychotherapist becomes appropriate

I don't use a shared patient record system; communication is via secure email.

Sessions at LuxembourgPsychology are psychological  counselling conducted by a licensed clinical psychologist. They are not psychotherapy. Patients presenting with severe depression, active trauma, psychosis, high suicide risk, or complex personality difficulties are referred to a psychiatrist or authorised psychotherapist. Sessions are not reimbursed by the CNS or Luxembourg health insurance funds.
